Robert "Bob" Overton, 50, of Midland, died on Saturday, November 27, 2010, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Ann's Catholic Church, with Father Chinnapureddy Pagidela, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, from 6 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home. A rosary will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at the funeral home.Robert was born and raised in Watertown, New York, moving to Midland in 1980. He worked for Topographic as a land surveyor for over 20 years, and was currently employed by John F. Watson and Company. Robert enjoyed attending his grandkids football, baseball and soccer games. He also was an avid MHS sports and NY Giants enthusiast. He never met a stranger and was a very happy and friendly person.He is survived by his wife, Irma Overton of Midland; his parents, Robert and Regina Overton of Watertown, New York; son, Ryan James Overton and wife Valerie, grandchildren Nevaeh Raeangel Overton and Ryan Tristian Overton; daughter Erica Renee Overton, all of Midland; and sons, Henry Jesse Vasquez, grandchildren Nathan Aaron Vasquez and Adrian Joseph Vasquez all of Midland and Jeffery Michael Vasquez of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Rhonda Boshart and Roberta Ciavarella all of Watertown, New York; and a brother, Russell Joseph Overton of Rochester, New York; and several nieces and nephews. I am the one that brought BoB down to Midland from Watertown to start a better life ,in which he did !!!! We had a many a good times and I will never forget them.Till the ending day we stayed in touch and was glad we did as BoB grew to be very smart ,caring ,lovable ,happy,Man. He will go with God now and be in peace . I am so ,so sorry for what he left behind , a beautiful family , never met them but Bob talked a great deal about them.As for Regina, Robert ,Bert and Rhonda,I am so sorry for your loss. Rest In Peace Bob and I will "ALWAYS" remember you.

I remember good times and laughs while in high school. I was really shocked to see the obituary for Bob on Newzjunky. Appreciate the fact that someone took the time toenter it so those of us who have not been in contact in many year could be updated. My condolences to his entire family and group of close friends. I'm sure he will be dearly missed.

I remember Our old days gone by when we were kids and lived just over from the next street. Remember the Reeses girls and the Armstrongs, how about the Johnsons, Keggins hill and ice skating at Thompson park school. Sorry for the families loss. We will miss you Bob.
