Robert N. (Bob) Jackson, 66 of Midland, died on Friday, March 7, 2003, in a local hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at the Golf Course Road Church of Christ in Midland with Ronnie White, officiating. He was born on October 30, 1936, in Memphis, Tennesee and married Pat Adams on November 9, 1958 in Baton Rouge, LA. Mr. Jackson attended The University of Tennessee and David Lipscomb College in Tennessee. He worked as a manager for J.C. Penney's for 23 years and then was a manager for Beall's Department Stores for 14 years before retiring. After retiring from Beall's, he sold cars at Rogers Ford. He came to Midland in April of 1982 when he transferred here with Beall's He was a member of Golf Course Road Church of Christ.He was in the U.S. Army Reserve, from 1958 to 1962 and a member of the Better Breathing Club, he also served as a volunteer for four years for the Recording Library for the Blind and Disabled. He enjoyed singing at church and had a wonderful bass voice.Survivors include his wife; Pat Jackson of Midland, one son; Jeffrey Jackson of Midland, one daughter & son-in-law; Julie and Walter Hepworth of Midland, one sister; Martha Miller of Atlanta, Georgia and one brother; Alan Jackson of Virginia, two grandsons; Stephan Jackson of Midland, and Taylor Jackson of Midland, Texas.
