Hello Mary Katherine, You do not know me, but I went to school with Leon all of my, and his, school years. I knew him very well. We all went to the functions at church, school and parties together. I just want you to know that I was so sad to hear of his death, and wanted you to know that I am so sorry. He is a part of my memories of JHS, and grades below. His mom and dad were, and still are, spoken of by those of us who loved to eat at Moody's! They were a Jefferson Icon, and I am so grateful that you made sure the notice was put in the Jefferson paper. The family was loved. I was so happy to hear of this life after Jefferson, and about you, his beloved wife, and the children and grandchildren. Also, knowing that he was a Texas Aggie, and an officer in the military was just so touching. Thank you so much for caring enough to allow us to know these special things. I will pray for you, Mary Katherine, and your children. My heart goes out to you, and maybe one day I will meet you, and we can talk about your life with Leon. May God bless you and your family richly. Jean Keasler Smith

So very sorry to read of Leon's death. He was a school friend of mine and my late husband. We truly enjoyed the entire family - Mr and Mrs Moody as well as J.W. Jr.whom, I believe, has moved to Big Spring.......and will remember all the good days and good food at Moddy's Sandwich Shop. Love to all. Please don't forget us.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
