Robert Lee Howton

Bob Howton, 73, of Stanton, Texas, died on Thursday, November 17, 2005, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at at a later date at Howton Cemetery in Arkansas. He was born on April 14, 1932, in Hot Springs, Arkansas and married Jo Ann Merry on March 27, 1970 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Bob was raised in Arkansas, Oregon and Washington State. He served his country in United States Marine Corp during the Korean War and came to Stanton in February of 1975 from Arkansas. He was a truck driver and drove for the Loop Gin for a number of years. Survivors include wife, Jo Ann Howton of Stanton; one daughter, Pauline Howton of Portland, Oregon; two step sons, Jack Cox of Garland, and Larry Cox of Chico.
