Robert “Bob” J. Touchstone, 81 of Midland, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 3, 2015 following a lengthy illness.Bob was a Veteran, Corporal of the US Army. He retired from FMC Corporation after 25 years where he was in oilfield sales. He volunteered for many years with Odyssey Hospice. Bob was a long time member of Comanche Trail Woodturners Club. He loved woodworking and made it into a ministry. Anyone who touched his life received a hand turned, beautiful wood pen or cross made with love.Bob was a devoted long time member of Crossroads Fellowship where he was loved by so very many members. He always had a smile for everyone.He was born November 24, 1933 in Graham, Texas. Bob was preceded in death by parents, Jack Touchstone and Edith Rubenkoenig Touchstone and sister, Genelle Williams.Bob met the love of his life, Carolyn, in 1979 and swept her into a passionate marriage that set an example for the way a relationship should be to their children and grandchildren.He is survived by wife Carolyn, daughters Laurie Hall and Leslie Keene and her husband Steve, 6 grandchildren, Jessica Taylor Barrioz and husband John Raymond, Casey Taylor and wife Kara, Jackson Grist, Jeremy Strickland, Garrett Hall and wife Kaitlyn, Courtney Strickland, step-grandson Steven Keene, 9 great-grandchildren, Josalyn Pylant, Scarlet Strickland, Jaicie Barrioz, Kara Strickland, Azelyn Taylor, Casen Taylor, Jainey Hall, Court Taylor, Braxton Hall, and a baby on the way, 3 nephews, Kent Williams, Trey Williams, and Stan Williams, and very special dog Little Bit.The family will receive friends at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Services are scheduled on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Crossroads Fellowship Chapel in Odessa followed by interment at Serenity Memorial Gardens.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
