Robert Emmett Connor

Robert Emmett Connor, 94 of Midland, passed away on the 19th of July 2024. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday July 23, 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday July 24, 2024 at 11:00 am at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Robert Emmett Connor was born on March 18th 1930 in Dallas, Texas to Michael & Mary Connor. Shortly thereafter he moved to Midland.  He was a lifetime Midlander.  He was employed by Atlantic Richfield from 1945 to 1982.  He served in the Army and was stationed in Alaska at the time he met the love of his life Jean Halfmann. They were married July 30th 1955.  He was involved in various youth organizations such as 4H, FFA and Campfire.  He was the recipient of the Silver Spur award in FFA.

Robert Emmett Connor is survived by his daughter Brenda (Robert) Masters and son Robert D Connor, grandsons Mickey Masters and Aaron Masters, granddaughters Ashley Masters, Shelli Spruiell, Makenna Connor and Makalyn Rose.

Robert Emmett Connor is preceded in death by his wife Jean Connor, mother Mary Jane Connor, father Michael Connor, sisters Helen L Shannon, Mildred K Stephens, Dorothy Ferrell and brother James M. Connor Jr.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of Midland, Visiting Angels and hospital staff.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Midland or 4H.
