Robert De La Rosa, Jr., 63, of Stanton, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in a San Angelo hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 10, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.He was born June 22, 1955 in Corpus Christi, Texas and married Angela Montez June 22, 2002 in Stanton, Texas.Robert served in the United States Army from November 1972 until November 1975 during the Viet Nam war. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved being with his family and will be greatly missed by family and friends.Survivors include his wife, Angela De La Rosa of Stanton; three children, Lisa De La Rosa and Moses A. De La Rosa and wife, Brittany all of San Angelo, and Destiny Delilah De La Rosa of Stanton; five step-children, Nicky Cruz Hernandez and Angelica Nicole Montez both of Stanton, Adam Lee Montez of Midland, Isaiah Lathaniel Hernandez and Cassie Faith Hernandez both of Stanton; 13 grandchildren; four brothers, John De La Rosa, Daniel De La Rosa, Israel De La Rosa and Andy De La Rosa; four sisters, Mary Ann Phariss, Diana DeLaCruz, Angie Salgado and Doris Hendricks; and two aunts, Rosa Gonzales of Menard and Ophelia Cantu of Stanton.He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dolores De La Rosa; and one sister, Irma Limbocker.Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton.
