Robert Clinton Jones passed away on Sunday, July 5th, 2015 after a briefbattle with cancer. He is survived by two sisters, Judy Jones Ryan and Jana Jones Marshall and their husbands James Ryan and Bob Marshall; his son Henry Clinton Harrison Funk; his daughter Baylea Funk Quezada and her husband Mike Quezada and their three children; He is also survived by two nephews James Walker Ryan and Samuel Lee Andrew Marshall; and three nieces Tracey Ryan Perry, Carrie Ryan Miller, and Carolyn Grace-Marie Marshall; and five great nieces and four great nephews.Clinton Jones was born in Midland, Texas on January 31, 1948, the son ofH.C. \Nub\ and Carolyn Jones. He graduated from Midland High School with the class of 1966. He then attended Shriner and Texas Tech University. He worked as an independent landman over the course of 30 years. He enjoyed watching and playing all sports but especially golfing, hunting and fishing. In addition to being an avid reader, he was drawn to most of wild life and had a special way of working with animals. He was most at home when outdoors.He was known as a tender, generous, and humble man who gave of himself to many. Clinton lived a life full of adventure. His heart and mind rested with Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Clinton lived out Psalms 92:2 \Every morning tell God, \Thank you for your kindness,\ and every evening rejoice in all his faithfulness.\ He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.A service to celebrate the life of Clinton Jones will be held at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2:00 in theafternoon. The family requests with gratitude, that memorial contributions be directed to Midland Memorial Foundation.
