Rita Carnes-Anderson

July 25, 1954 - December 27, 2023

Rita Carnes-Anderson, 69 years old, of Midland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, December 27th in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her children.

 

Rita was born July 25, 1954 in Midland, Texas to Howard and Leta Perry.  She’s native to Midland and spent time living in Tyler and Big Spring where she graduated from High School.  

She enjoyed the beach, fishing, gardening, and antiquing; but mostly she loved spending time with her family.

Rita is survived by her 3 children, Heath Anderson, Heather Anderson and Lacey Wascher. Her seven grandchildren Austin, Evan, Finn, Reese, Coen, Noah, and Maverick. 

 

Rita is preceded in death by her parents Howard Perry and Robert and Leta Pruitt.

 

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude towards Angel’s Care Hospice for taking such good care of her the past several months.

 

Rita’s final wishes were to forego a service and ashes will be spread by her children in two of her favorite places, Ruidoso, New Mexico and Corpus Christi, Texas. So sorry for your loss. I should say our loss . Rita was my friend and family. I text Rita about two days before she passed. She didn’t respond quickly as normal. The next day I tried again and ask are you alright . She did answer. Not good she said going down hill . I let her know she is always in our prayers. She is in heaven now . Prayers for the family ❤️
