Richard Lynn Robertson, 54, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, August 2, 2001, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, August 6, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Lynn Robertson, sister-in-law, officiating. Assisting will be Rev. Elwin Collom, pastor of First Baptist Church, Coahoma and Rev Roger Huff, pastor of First Church of The Nazarene. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. He was born on December 29, 1946 in Oakland, California. Mr. Robertson was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and graduated from Big Spring High School in 1965. He had worked most of his life in the auto body shop business for himself and at Morris Robertson Body Shop. Along the way he acquired three beautiful sisters, Donna, Dixie and Jan. He was a member of First Church of The Nazarene. He served in the Texas National Guard and then served in the United States Army in Viet Nam. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Licia Robertson of Big Spring and Richard William Robertson Profitt of Conroe; two daughters, CharitiXan Nichols and MeLissa Nichols both of San Angelo; his parents, Morris and Jimmie Robertson of Big Spring; and four brothers, Robby Robertson of Weatherford, Reggy Robertson of Midland, and Randy Robertson and Roddy Robertson both of Big Spring.
