I worked with Richard at FDIC, both in Dallas and then in the San Francisco Regional Office. He was a good person and much too young to have left us. My thoughts and condolences go out to Richard's family.
Buddy/Jeri I was so sorry to read about your son. My heart felt condolences go to you and Jeri. I did not know him but being your son he had to be a great person that is loved and will be remembered by all his family.Love You and JeriCharlie Oxford
Richard was a wonderful person and a great colleague. I have fond recollections of our gambling cruise from Fort Lauderdale, and eating seafood with him in the Florida Keys. He was one of those people who, when you look back on your life, you thank God for the privilege of having met. My sincere condolences to the Evans family.
Buddy and Jeri,I am so sorry to hear about your son's death. I did not know him, but I have known both of you for many years (Jeri from Bowie and Buddy from the Gun Club), with that said; I am sure he had many friends and must have been well respected by all. You were very kind to me when my parents (Freda and Ken) died and I wish the same for both of you.
I met Richard at my very first bank assignment in June 1987. Richard was a wonderful person and a great mentor. He loved being a Texan and was so passionate about sports. It was always a pleasure working with him and he will be missed by so many people.I would like to offer my sympathy to his family who he truly adored. Richard left this world way too soon but he will never be forgotten.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Seems there is a common theme about Richard. He loved his golf!!!! We played together in each others club tournaments for many years. He was a great gentleman, a good friend and a respected co-worker. So sorry to hear of his death. My condolences to the family.

Dear Family of Richard Evans,My heart aches at this news. I worked with Richard from 1986 to 1994 at FDIC in Ft. Worth. During this time, Richard and I were good friends. Richard, Mike Warner, and I played many, many rounds of golf together when we were on the road working. I will remember Richard most for his great sense of humor and dry wit which I so enjoyed. I remember many times laughing together until we were in tears at shared stories of our examiner experiences. My husband, Steve knew Richard well and played lots of golf with him, too. Steve sends his condolences.I am deeply sorry for you loss, Evans family. May your good memories of Richard sustain you. May God bless you and keep you in this difficult time. With deepest sympathies,Kathy Tew Rickey

Richard and I played a lot of golf and had a ton of laughs over the years. He will be deeply missed. My prayers and condolences to all of the family.
First met Richard in 2002 at Diamond Oaks Country Club when I joined his regular weekend group. Found out quick he did not like to lose a penny. But also learned that he was a great friend and would do anything for you. Like writing a letter of recommendation to Texas Tech to help my son get acceptance to the university. Will miss him but will think about him on the golf course.
I have great memories of working with Richard at the FDIC. He was a great guy with a great sense of humor. I remember he loved his family and he was a proud Texan. He was also passionate about sports and specifically Texas Tech and Dallas Cowboy football. Richard will be missed my so many.
I extend my deepest sympathy to the Evans family. During this difficult time I wanted to share the hope found in the Bible, the hope of the resurrection. Jesus stated at John 5:28,29 The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will come out. And at Revelation 21:3,4 it states that there will be a time when death will be no more. These scriptures give us hope for the future as respects to our dead loved ones. Those scriptures have brought comfort to me and I hope it does the same for your family.
Jeri, Buddy, Keri and Matthew, I know how much Rick means to you, and to so many. I'm sorry I can't be there with Laura, Camille and Rex to share a hug and a tear and hear some great stories. Camille, Russell and I send our love and prayers for your comfort in the days ahead.
