Richard Kim Price

Richard “Kim” Price entered heaven on Friday May 3,2024 surrounded by family. Visitation will be May 8,2024 at Nalley Pickle and Welch from 5-7 pm.  His graveside celebration will be May 9,2024 at 1 pm at Ellis Resthaven Memorial Park.

Kim was born Thursday, December 2, 1954 to Marcus “Mark” and Lavinia “Mae” Price.

He passed away on May 3, 2024, after fighting cancer for almost 2 years.   He was born and raised in Rankin, Texas.  He graduated high school in 1973, where he played high school football for the Rankin Red Devils.   He attended college and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas Tech in 1979.  He was an avid Tech fan.

He leaves behind his wife Vicky of 48 years.  His oldest daughter Tanya Frantz and spouse Dwayne of Midland, his youngest daughter Leslie “Denise” Crawford and spouse Michael also of Midland.  Five grandchildren, Casey, Logan, Nadia and Samantha Primera, Skylar and Jadan Williams, and Shelby Crawford.  His most favorite people were his great-grand babies Lilliana and Aria Primera and Emersyn Williams.

Kim worked in the oilfield for about 45 years.   He made many friends over the years and enjoyed all the memories from his time on land and at sea.

His family would like to thank all his doctors and his nurses, especially the 8th floor nurses, Texas Oncology-Allison Cancer Center, Midland Memorial Hospital and Hospice of Midland.
