Richard Haro, Jr., 20, of Big Spring, died after a short battle with cancer, on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2005 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church with Rev. James Plagens, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. A vigil service will be held Thursday, July 14, at 7:00 PM at St. Thomas Catholic Church.He was born on April 27, 1985, in Big Spring, Texas.Richard was a lifelong resident of Big Spring and attended Big Spring High School. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.Survivors include his mother, Sylvia Herrera Milan of Big Spring; his father, Richard Haro, Sr.; two sisters, Michelle Fierro and husband Roger and Neomi Marie Haro all of Big Spring; his grandmother, Eustolia Haro of Big Spring; his grandfather, Jose Herrera and wife Amy of Corpus Christi; his great grandparents, Manuel and Maria Cervantes of Big Spring; two neices, Emilie Shae and Kailie Anissa Fierro of Big Spring; his aunts and uncles Michael and Irene Herrera, Belinda and Pablo Yanez, Joey Herrera, Jesse and Priscilla Haro, Joseph and Frances Haro, Johnny Haro, Margarita and Juan Robles, Bobby and Isabel Haro, Tony Haro, David and Katie Haro and Henry and Delma Haro; and numerous cousins.He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Naomi Herrera; his grandfather, Juan Haro, one cousin, Amy Haro; and his great grandparents, Jose and Fermina Herrera.Richard, the twenty years you gave me were and will continue to be the most wonderful years I shared with you.
