Rev. Roger L. Sherman

Dr. Roger L. Sherman, 80, of Midland, died on Sunday, October 20, 2002, in a Midland hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 28, 2002 at the Church of Religious Science of Midland, with Jan Moulder, officiating.He was born on January 5, 1922 in Camden, Delaware and married Willie Mabel Carlton on August 1, 1945 in Ft. Worth, Texas.Rev. Sherman was a crew chief for the Army Air Corps on B24's during WWII. He graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio with a Masters degree in Business Administration . He received his PhD from the University of Phoenix. He worked as Personnel Director in different corporations in Washington and California until he discovered he had a real love for teaching. He became a Professor at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, California and remained for over 13 years.He then found his true calling and became a minister of the Church of Religious Science.
