Sister Rendie Mae Jackson was born on October 22, 1912, in Crockett, Texas to the parentage of Richard Tate and Anner Donner Tate (both deceased). She went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2007. She had eight siblings; Alice Brock, Linnie Tate, Daisy Wright, Dorothy Hardy, Malinda Kennard, John Henry Tate, Willie Ed Tate and Darnell Tate, all of whom preceded her in death. While in Crockett, Texas, and at a special time in her life, she met Mr. Loddy Jackson. After a brief courtship, they declared their love for one another and were united in Holy Matrimony, and moved to Big Spring, TexasSister Jackson received her formal education at the Crockett Public School, and worked for the Big Spring State Hospital until her retirement in 1993. In 1995, she relocated to Dallas to live with her beloved son, Jimmie, who later became her sole caretaker until her demise.Those who will most cherish her memory include: her precious son, Jimmie Lee Jolley of Dallas; her lovely daughter, Vernell Hunt of Midland; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.A celebration of her life will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2007, at the West Highway 80 Church of Christ.
