Regina Morgan Dabney, 82, of Midland, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2010. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at First Christian Church, with Rev. Paula Brooks and Rev. Mike Hunter officiating. Regina Elizabeth Morgan Dabney was born April 4, 1928 at the family home of William C. and Clara Alice Morgan. She passed away Monday January 4, 2010 enjoying a very full and happy life. She was educated in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.She was fortunate to have many exciting vocations among those Training Manager for Hertz Rent-a-Car in Dallas, Texas starting Thrifty Rent-a-Car for owner William Stemmons in Dallas, TX. Later she started her own arts and crafts store in Dallas, called "Regina's Arts & Crafts"; Duncan Arts and Crafts of California employed her as their National Arts Coordinator. She was the host of her own, television crafts show, Crafts Etc. which was seen in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. She was assistant to Dr. Bill Bazzell retiring in 1994, Regina served on the boards of America Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, S.A.L.T., and Area Agency on Aging in the Permain Basin and held a great interest in C.O.P.S. Regina was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed the early Chapel service greatly. Mrs. Dabney was preceded in death by her parents, William and Clara Morgan; brother Bill C. Morgan; son, Rick Tarwater and daughter Cheri Pegram. Those left to cherish her memory are, two sons, Doug Tarwater of San Angelo, Jay Kyle Tarwater of Dallas; her beloved grandchildren, Robin Salois and husband Sean of Midland, Blake Tarwater of Missoula, Montana, Stacey Parry of San Antonio, Rhett Preston of Dallas, Suzi Tarwater, of Atlanta, GA, Marshall and Michael Tarwater of Baton Rouge, LA; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan and Noah Salois and Tucker Parry.A Special Thanks to Home Hospice, Meals on Wheels, and Dr. McKenna and her numerous beloved friends for their continuous care and thought fullness.Donation in her memory may be made to M.A.R.C. or First Christian Church.Arrangements are under the care of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
