Rebekah Lowe Teinert of Midland, Texas was welcomed home by her Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
Rebekah was born December 12, 1948 in Midland, Texas to Theresa and Homer Allen Lowe Jr.
She grew up in Midland and graduated from Midland High School in 1967 where she started her families’ legacy of volleyball. Rebekah then began working as a drive thru-bank teller at Commercial Bank and Trust where she, after encouragement from fellow employees, accepted a date with a young man who seemed to come to her teller window often. It wasn’t long at all and Rebekah agreed to marry the love of her life, John Teinert. They began their 49 years of marriage on her dad’s birthday February 6, 1972.
Soon after they began their family and welcomed their first daughter Katrina. 5 years later John and Rebekah completed their family with the birth of their second daughter Holly. Through their lifetime together Rebekah and John lived in Monahans twice, Levelland, Hobbs, New Mexico, Corpus Christi and Midland a total of 4 times.
Rebekah spent her days teaching children’s Sunday School, VBS, dancing, taking lots of pictures of her daughters and granddaughters, baking cakes and cookies she tediously decorated to coordinate with the theme of the party or holiday, canning her delicious tomato soup, making her award winning fudge, sewing, creating a wide variety of crafts and beautiful scrapbooks of what was most precious to her on this earth, her family.
Survivors include her husband, John Teinert, daughters Katrina Kindseth and husband Dean of Corinth, TX, Holly McConnell and husband Hank of Midland, TX, granddaughters Alex Elger and husband Jake, Maddy McConnell and Kimmie McConnell all of Midland, TX, her brother Rev. J. Allen and Shirley Lowe of Corpus Christi, TX and sister Lavonya (Peanut) Friday of Leander, TX. Rebekah was preceded in death by her parents Theresa and Homer Allen Lowe Jr.
In lieu of flowers Memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the building fund for Fellowship Baptist Church.
