Raymond Stallings “Daddy Raymond”, 90, of Big Spring, died Sunday, October 28, 2018 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Pat Ray, pastor of Prairie View Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.He was born March 30, 1928 in Howard County to Rufus and Monnie Stallings. Raymond married Faye Newton April 2, 1948 in Big Spring. She preceded him in death May 21, 2018.Raymond was a lifelong resident of Howard County and had farmed for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors.Survivors include one son, Gary Stallings and wife, Cynthia of Fredericksburg; one grandson, Kneel Stallings and wife, Linda Kaye of Big Spring; two great-grandchildren, Saige Stallings and Sawyer Stallings; and one great-great-grandson, Bentley Stallings.He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jim Stallings; one brother, Tex Stallings; and one sister, Jean Roman.The family suggests memorials to Prairie View Baptist Church, 1004 FM 2230, Big Spring, Texas 79720.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
