Raymond Alan Hofman, 38, died February 18, 2014 in a plane accident in Breckenridge, Texas.Ray was born June 20, 1975 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Marilyn Smith and Ron Hofman. He graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1993.Ray began his passion for the oil industry working as a roughneck with Red Hawk in Saskatchewan. His unique abilities were noticed by Packers Plus, which eventually brought him to Midland, Texas in May 2002. His God-given talent, vision, and the support of those who believed in him, led him to start Peak Completion Technologies in December 2003.His passion was not limited to entrepreneurship. He had a deep love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, which he shared through his love for his sons, wife, family and the countless others who knew him. Ray lived fast. He was a racecar driver, a pilot, a cyclist, a horseman, a hunter, a musician, a photographer, a patriot, a competitor, a mentor. He was life. An avid collector, his largest collection, of which he was most proud, are his friends and family.Ray is survived by his wife, Janna Fulfer Hofman; sons, Byron, Justin, Dylan and Jayden; mother, Marilyn Smith (Doug); father, Ron Hofman (Cecile); mother and father-in-law, Susan and Jay Fulfer; brother, Gerrit Hofman (Avrell); sister, Leona Collier (Josh); sister-in-law, Jodi Fulfer Avis (Andrew); Grandparents Alan and Beatrice Ritchie; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on Sunday, February 23rd from 3p.m. to 5p.m. All are welcome at his burial service Monday, February 24th, Resthaven Memorial Park at 11a.m. A memorial service to celebrate his life will also be held Monday at 1:30p.m., Stonegate Fellowship Church officiated by Pastor Patrick Payton.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one of the many charities Ray loved and supported.A special thanks to all our family… you know who you are.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
