Stephanie Rayburn left a message on May 25, 2011:
Dearest Libby, I am saddened to hear of your loss, and more importantly, that I am just know learning of this news. Ray was always smiling and ensuring those around him wore a smile as well. We still have the rustic old "Lonesome Dove" sign he made me hanging above the hearth in our Houston home. I will, in his honor, toast him tonight, as I say an extra prayer of thanksgiving for all the wonderful memories I have of you both from our time in Midland. May God bless you, Stephanie Rayburn

Grant Moult left a message on January 18, 2011:
I worked for Ray and Suzie in High School and College. Ray taught me how to paint, repair windows and fix countless things I never dreamed I could fix! While I have not seen him for many years, I will always remember him and our days in the storage areas going thru countless boxes of "stuff" and somehow Ray could identify every single item. And he had a story about every thing he touched! Ray was a great man! A real man's man!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I was so sad to learn of Ray's passing. Living just down the street many years ago, I was acquainted with Ray when the Sharp's would welcome me into their Joplin home or their yard to hang out with Paris and Newt. I have fond memories of those days, and recall vividly how Ray always had a kind word or smile to us "kids" that were present. My deepest sympathy to the entire family during this time of loss.
