Doyce (Ray) Todd, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on September 1, 2018. He was born to Pauline & Clarence Todd. After attending school in Big Spring and Monahans, TX, he served in the United States Marine Corps. As a decorated drill instructor, he received a letter of appreciation, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Ray married Colleen Riggins on November 24, 1967.He lived in Big Spring and Monahans before moving to Midland. As a professional truck driver, he drove local routes, as well as cross-country, and retired from Mayo Marrs in Kermit, TX, in 2012. In his early years, he spent a lot of time in bowling leagues and earned many trophies from tournaments. He also loved to play golf and did so as often as he was able. He was a member of Kelview Heights Baptist Church for many years, where he sang in the choir and performed in the drama productions.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland, TX. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Kelview Heights Baptist Church in Midland, TX. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Olive Cemetery, in Big Spring, TX, where Ray will be buried alongside his parents. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kelview's mission program.Ray is survived by his wife Colleen; son Kevin Todd (Tonya) of Monahans, TX, daughter Karin LeBlanc (Ray) of Midland, TX, sister Eula May McDaniel of Midland, TX; grandchildren Kristopher Johnson (Lexi) and Jeremy Johnson of Midland, TX, Nick Todd (Jamie) of Odessa, TX, Casey Todd (Brandi) of Midland, TX, Joey Todd of Pecos, TX, Marcus Thomas (Deana) of Kermit, TX, and Robyn Wood (Shay) of Burleson, TX; great grandchildren Miley and Luke Todd, Karsen Butler, Miles James, Macoy and Madden Johnson, Blayze and Colstyn Wood, and, coming soon, Emma Todd; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
