1957 – 2021
On June 17, 1957 Randal “Randy” Hoyt Brooks was born in Texarkana, Arkansas to Henry Hoyt Brooks and Audrey Lumpkin Brooks. He was the third of five children. He grew up in Midland, Texas and attended Lee High School.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Henry Hoyt Brooks, and his nieces, Amy Lynn Johnson and Kelly Ann Brooks. Randy is survived by his wife, Marisol Brooks, his mother, Audrey Brooks, his siblings, Debbie Scott, Vicki Draper, Gary Brooks and Steven Brooks, and his children, Jason Brooks, Misty Brooks, Lacey Brooks, Danelle Alaniz, Alexis Green and Jassie Brooks. Randy is also survived by his grandchildren, Troy, Jade, Kaylee, Ryan, Brianna, Bailey, Jaycee, James, Cade, Hayden, Lola, Zanovia, great grandchildren, Liam and Dimitri and many nieces and nephews.
Randy was a successful businessman who loved his family. He provided well for his family and was always looking out for them. He made many lifelong friends over the years as he was trustworthy, hardworking and a good friend. Above all, Randy was a Christian who dedicated his life to the Lord in his later years. Randy enjoyed boating and other outdoor activities.
Randy was beloved of all his family for his sense of adventure and fun times. Family meant so much to him and he loved his children deeply.
Randy was always an extremely successful businessman. Randy lived by principles that facilitated this success. In addition to being successful, Randy was always generous with advice and encouragement to others who were seeking to become successful themselves. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed a helping hand.
Randy was a member of First Baptist Church of Porter, Texas. He greatly appreciated the fellowship and teachings of this church. His faith allowed him to overcome cancer in 2012. After overcoming, Randy was given nine more years on this earth before he went home to live with the Lord. Each of those days were precious.
Randy will be missed by his family. However, there is great comfort in knowing he is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family will receive friends 6:00pm-8:00pm, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held 12:00pm, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the First Baptist Church Chapel.
