Ralph Parkison, 100, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, June 29, 2006, in a local hospital. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Byron Brown, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.Ralph was born to Isaac and Annie Copeland Parkinson, on April 18, 2006, in Little Rock, Arkansas and he married Dorothy Evans in 1930. She preceded him in death in 1984.He served in the Army and worked as a chef.Ralph enjoyed collecting rocks and going to the Big Spring Senior Citizens Center, He loved the Lord and attending church when possible. He was a Baptist but attended the Church of the Nazarene since moving to Big Spring 12 years ago. Survivors include one daughter, Gene Snyder of Rancho Murieta, California; three grandsons, Michael Snyder of Santa Barbara, California and Jim Parkison and Ralph Parkinson both of Washington state and one granddaughter, Kathy Pavel of Connecticut.
