On January 11, 2019, R.M (Jimmy) Moore went home to be with his savior at the age of 83. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Edwards Ranch with Ronnie Gardner officiating. Jimmy will be escorted to his final resting place by Alex Mejia, Manuel Briseni, Steven Wallace, Luke Crawford, David Salazar, and Randy Price. Honorary Pallbearers are Brian Frerich, Kirk Stevens, Vince Grey, Quade Weaver, and all the hard working men of the Edwards Brothers Ranch and Texastone Quarries.The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the funeral home. R.M, later nicknamed Jimmy by the pastor’s wife, was born to Henry and Eloise Scott Moore on October 20, 1935 in Houston Texas. He moved to Big Spring in 1943 where he later met the love of his life. He married Imogene Daw January 27, 1956. Together they raised four beautiful daughters. He established his own masonry company “Moore Construction” which led to working for the Edwards Brothers Ranch where he played a key role in the construction of the castle “Toad Hall”, as well as being a crew member on the Naval 75th anniversary commemorative PBY flight. He remained employed by the Edwards Ranch until the time he met his savior.Jimmy was a man of many talents, he could build or repair anything. A few special moments in his family’s lives were sitting together on the front porch singing while Jimmy played his guitar, cornet, or harmonica. The memory of taking one of his daughters to the barber shop with him also leaves a lasting impression. He was raised in the Salvation Army Church where he was a soldier for God, and he will be missed beyond comparison. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Imogene Moore of Big Spring, TX; daughters, Deborah Walton and husband, Dan Walton of Big Spring, TX, Kathy Henry and husband, Bill Henry of Hawley, TX, Penny Owensby Powers and husband, Marvin Powers of Abilene, TX, and Tammy Allen and husband, Mark Allen of Big Spring, TX. Jimmy also leaves behind 5 granddaughters; Kimi Jo Walker, Shayla Moose, Clarrissa Henry, Bailee Allen and Hayley Allen; one grandson, Zane Owensby; and one great-grandson, Huntur Allen. He also leaves behind 4 chosen sons; Larry Stephens of Lewisville, Texas, Darrell Stephens of Big Spring, TX, Michael Stephens of Fort Worth, TX and Mark Stephens of Pennsylvania; and one chosen daughter Becky Stephens Richardson of San Angelo, TX,; as well as his sisters Josie Moore of Waco, TX and Mary Thornton of Ocala, Florida. Jimmy also leaves his best friends W.C. “Connie” and Brenda Edwards and many amazing friends and co-workers at the Edwards Ranch. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry M.
