Phyllis J. Jones, 57, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 5, 2007 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Raford Dunagan, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.She was born on September 13, 1949, in Big Spring, and married Jerry Jones on July 19, 1970 in Tarzan, Texas.Phyllis grew up in Big Spring and graduated from Big Spring High School in 1968. She was the daughter of William Morris and Juanita Sewell. She worked for Joy's Hallmark for many years and was working at Elrod's Furniture at the time of her death. Phyllis was a member of East 4th Street Baptist Church. She loved quilting.Survivors include her husband, Jerry Jones of Big Spring; one daughter, Tephani Schultz of Big Spring; one sister, Mary Cain of Big Spring; one brother, Morris Sewell of Cedar Park; two step brothers, Pat McMahan of Colorado City Lake and Bernard McMahan of Big Spring and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to East 4th Street Baptist Church, 410 E. 3rd, Big Spring, Texas 79720.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
