Petra Diaz Rios-Rios

Petra Diaz Rios-Rios, 89, of Big Spring, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, April 20, 2025. Viewing will be from 8:00 am until 10:00 am, Friday, April 25, 2025 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.  Rosary service will be at 10:00 am.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with interment at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

Petra was born May 13, 1935 in Midland, Texas to parents Pedro Diaz and Nettie Salazar Diaz.  She married Raul Rios-Rios October 21, 1977 in Big Spring.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she was an avid volunteer by singing in the choir and helping with the upkeep of the alter. Petra was an Eucharist Minister and a Guadalupana.

She is survived by her children Manuel Arsiaga, Diane Arsiaga, Beatrice Mendoza, Samuel Arsiaga and Benjamina Rios-Rios; her grandchildren: Anthony Vera, Alfonso Vera, Misty Juarez, Alyssa Arsiaga, Johnny Mendoza, Mark Mendoza, Rocky Mendoza, Manuel Arsiaga, Jr., Eric Mendoza, Brianna Arsiaga, Samuel Arsiaga, Jr., Daniel Arsiaga and Matthew Arsiaga along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raul Rios-Rios, Arthur Arisaga, Margie Arisaga and Trinidad Rios-Rios.
