Peggy Joyce Mason passed away at home with her family by her side and went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 16, 2022.
Peggy was born on June 12, 1937, in Burkburnett, TX to Earl and Jessie Harmon Spannagel. She grew up in Walters, OK where she graduated from Walters High School in 1955. It was there that she met the love of her life, JE “Slim” Mason. They were married on June 14, 1955.
Peggy worked as a bookkeeper for many years until 1976 when she and her husband purchased Harris Acoustics of Midland, Inc. They worked alongside each other building relationships and growing their business(s) to include Mason Drywall Supply as well as Family RV Storage. She and her husband were active members of Bellview Baptist Church for many years before they moved to Odessa, TX, and became members of Mission Dorado Baptist Church. Throughout the years, she enjoyed teaching Sunday school to children and served in many leadership positions in the church.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her life is a testament to God’s love and richest blessings: all who knew her will be forever touched and inspired by her incredibly strong faith, generosity, and unconditional love for others.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, JE “Slim” Mason, her parents, as well as her three brothers, and sister.
