It is with great sadness that the family of Peggy Goetz announce her passing on December 29, 2023. She was surrounded by family, love and laughter. She was 73. She was born in New York on December 5, 1950. She lived her life full of passion and fun and always full of dreams for her family. Those who knew her were lucky. She would stick up for anyone and stand up to anyone she
knew. She truly believed and lived her life by doing all things in love. She would welcome any stray animal or person into her home. She could share a story that kept everyone laughing. Her grandkids wanted more and herchildren were left shaking their heads. Peggy would spend half the year trying to plan and pull off the best April Fool’s joke.
Peggy would brighten any room she was in. Spending most of her working career in the restaurant industry, people would come just to see her. She treated everyone with love and acceptance. She was one of the hardest working and charismatic and beautiful women you could know. She was a single mom for most of her adult life who taught her children the importance of working hard, having fun and giving to others. She found love with Chris who matched her spirit in 2011.
She was a wife, momma, grannie and someone you could count on. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Chris; daughters Tonya (Caesar) and Tammy; son Allen; grandchildren Otis (Audrey), Destiny, Rorie (Shawn), Boden, Allie, Logan; and a great grandson Shawny.
A service will be held at Nalley-Pickle & Welch (3800 N. Big Spring St. Midland) on January 5 at 2:00. A celebration of her life will follow and will be filled with laughter, stories, tears and our glasses raised in her honor. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to support the family during this time of great sadness and stress. You will be desperately missed. We love you
