Peggy Baker, of Midland, died on, January 11, 2017 at Midland Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 16, 2017 at Resthaven Memorial Park.Mrs. Baker was born December 11, 1934 in Archer City, Texas. She married Fred Baker, Jr. in 1954 in Hobbs, New Mexico. The family moved from Hobbs to Midland in 1968. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, and painting. Peggy fought a lifelong battle with asthma and other breathing illnesses. Her mobility was hampered by her health issues yet she maintained a positive attitude and was able to accomplish many things.She is survived by one son, Steve Baker of Midland; and three nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Thelma Vines; by her husband, Fred Baker, Jr.; and by two sisters Catherine Holzknecht and Maxine Wood.,
