Pauline "Polly" Manning, 88, of Brownfield, formerly of Seagraves, died on Wednesday, September 1, 2004, in a Brownfield nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, September 4, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with Rev. Steve King, pastor of Birdwell Lane Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.She was born on June 23, 1916, in Iataan, Texas and married Marvin Walter Manning on February 9, 1935 in Knott, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1981.Polly moved to Seagraves in 1945 from the Knott Community. She was a former member and Sunday School teacher at Temple Baptist Church in Seagraves and was currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield. She was a homemaker.Survivors include two sons, Doyle Manning of Seagraves and Obie Manning of Weed, New Mexico; one daughter, Vina Lou Ables of Brownwood; one sister, Kay Beaird of Lamesa; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
