Paula Truex

Paula Rae Smith Truex, 73 of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, September 12^th. A visitation will begin at 2PM on Sunday, September 17th at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory. Services will be 10AM Monday, September 18th at Westside Church of Christ, 4410 W. Illinois Ave, Midland. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1620 N. A Street, Midland.

Paula was born on December 21, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas to Raymond and Velma Smith.   She was raised in Midland and graduated from Midland High School in 1968.  Paula was a member of Westside Church of Christ and was a faithful Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Paula is survived by husband, Ron Truex of Midland, Son Gary Truex, (Rachel) of Cloudcroft, NM, Granddaughters; Reagen Truex of Austin, TX, Landry Truex of San Diego, CA, Riley Truex of Cloudcroft, NM, Grandson; James Truex of Cloudcroft, NM, Brothers Bill Kelley (Lucy) of Arlington, TX; Ray Kelley of Navasoto, TX; Brother-in-law, Bob Baker of Fairview, TX

Paula is preceded in death by Parents, Raymond and Velma Smith, Sisters Audrey Petty, Ruby Nell Kennedy, Zola Mae Kelley, and brother Russell Kelley.

Services will be officiated by Gary Truex and Adam Orr.  Pallbearers; Neil Truex, Stephen Truex, Jake Owens, Thomas Marshall, Waylon Mayfield, and Jeff Scott.  Honorary pallbearers; Jim Lorenz, Jim McKay, Joe Prieto, Troy Patton, Milton Lary, Kyle Olree, Kris Pumphrey, Mike Vestal, and Clay Mims.  Elders; Lynn Mayfield, and Terry Pafford.

The family would like to express their gratitude towards Hospice of Midland, Angel Care and Heather Valencia.
