Verla Martin left a message on February 10, 2010:
Although I have not seen Paula in about 20 years or so, her death has touched me deeply. I was a friend of Paulas before she moved to Midland. She was such a sweetheart. I loved Paula and her family. I am so sad that Connie, Robert and Nancy have had to endure the passing of 2 of their family members. I am also saddened that Paula's immediate family have lost a very special person. The only comfort that I can find is knowing she is not in pain anymore. I have lost family members and I know the pain you are going through, I pray for the days that you can only remember the good times and not the tragic day she left this world. I can tell by the guest book entries that she loved her family dearly. I knew she would make a wonderful wife and mother some day. I only wish we would have been able to keep in touch. I just wanted the family to know that I am praying for you all and wanted you to know how much I thought of Paula. Thank you for letting me express my feeling here. My love and prayers to you all, Verla Martin

Hector & Cynthia Cuevas & Family left a message on February 8, 2010:
Words cannot describe the sorrow we feel for your entire family. It was with great pleasure that I was able to pray and visit with her at the hospital recently and as we spoke I reminded Paula of "The Huge Heart" she had for others during our school years and how she treated everyone with the upmost respect and importance (even those some may find difficult to love) Paula was so excited to learn of this Beautiful Gift she had. What a great example of how we should live!! Even though we know that she is now healed and rejoicing with our Heavenly Father we cannot help but feel an emptiness without her. God Bless, Hector, Cynthia, Angeleah, Brendon & Ariel

The pain, and the grief, of losing a loved one in death, can seem unbearable. At such times, God's Word can give us comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) The Bible helps us to understand how our Creator and his Son feel about death. Jesus, who perfectly reflected his Father, knew the pain of losing someone in death. (John 14:9) May the family find comfort, hope and encouragement from God's Word the Bible.
