May 10, 2013We were very saddened to learn of Pat's passing, and our condolences to Brad, Sue, and all the family. We moved to Cumming Georgia in December 2012, and sometimes miss news from Big Spring, and just read about Pat today. Pat was a wonderful person, and we and our Mother Norma Wheeler became friends with Pat in the early 1980's through our mutual friend Ann Weaver. I know that they are all three having the biggest happiest reunion in Heaven! Sincerely, Ronnie and Donnie Wheeler

Sue and family: may the Lord comfort you at the loss of your precious sister. I always loved seeing Pat's smiling face at Church on Sundays. She's celebrating with our Lord and Savior and suffers no more. What a blessing it is to know that we will all be together one day worshipping and praising God. Love and prayers, Melody

Brad.....brother, I'm saddened to hear of your mother's passing! I remember the days of growing up on Morrison and Alabama streets running in and out of the house causing a ruckus! Also, I remember the days of going to the beauty salon with my grandmother and your mom doing my grandmothers' hair up real nice! Brother, I wish I could be there for you, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you always!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

To all of Pat's family:Pat was a wonderful Christian lady and a dear friend. I will never forget the love and kindness she showed to my Mom during the last few years of Mother's life. I am so happy to know that Pat is now completely healed and free from pain. But I know that she will be greatly missed. Love and prayers to all of you.

To Pat's Family: Sue, BradI was so shocked to open The Big Spring Herald web site, as I do daily, to find my lovely friend and former hairdresser had gone to meet her Maker. I've been away from Big Spring many years, but I still have fond roots there and of all the Thorp family. May God bless you all at this time.

Brad, I wish I could be there with you to help you as much as you helped me when my Mom died. I am so glad they were the best of friends for 40+ years. I know they are together again. I will never forget all the years growing up at the Beauty Shop. All those memories...the pageants - the hairdos - the love. Your Mom has been like a second Mom to me forever - she was so sweet, kind, patient, generous, insightful, smart, funny - a real classy Lady. :-) She sent me a card for my birthday every year with a five dollar bill. :-) She helped me live through this very difficult year. And, I already miss our phone conversations very, very much. Find comfort in the knowledge that she is perfectly healed now - without any pain or suffering or sadness. And one day we will be reunited with her and All of our loved ones. Love always, Marci
