Patsy Tercero, 80, passed peacefully from this life on the morning of May 5, 2023 in San Antonio, TX. She was surrounded by her family and caregivers during the last days of her life. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Patsy was born in Lamesa, TX on May 17, 1942. She married Orlando Tercero on September 13, 1958 and shared 59 years of devotion and love. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her 6 children, 8 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Patsy is survived by her children Orlando Tercero, Jr. (Elizabeth) of San Antonio, TX, Fernando Tercero of San Antonio, TX, Sandra Garcia (Oscar) of Big Spring, TX, Andrea Jane Tercero of San Antonio, TX, and Margie Tercero of San Antonio, TX.; her siblings John Gonzales and Joe Gonzales of Lubbock, TX.
Patsy was preceded in death by her father Ignacio Gonzales, parents John and Margarita Morales, brother Ignacio Gonzales Jr., husband Orlando Tercero Sr., daughter Dolores Tercero, and grandson Lee Garcia.
Patsy was a long time resident of Big Spring, TX until 2014 when she moved to San Antonio, TX with her husband and children. While living in Big Spring, she was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she was involved in the Parish Council, St. Vincent de Paul, and Guadalupana Society. While living in San Antonio, Patsy was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she was involved with the Arts & Crafts group and St. Vincent de Paul.
Patsy was a nurse for over 45 years. She graduated with her LVN license in 1960 and graduated with her ADN, RN in 1977 from Howard College. She was employed during her nursing career at Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital, Malone & Hogan Hospital, Scenic Mountain Medical Center, and Big Spring State Hospital. Patsy retired from her nursing career and began volunteering with the Lions Club, Rape Crisis Victim Services, and St. Vincent de Paul. Patsy truly enjoyed volunteering and helping people.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Friday, May 12, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception to honor Patsy will be held at Holy Trinity Parrish Hall following interment.

Honorary Pallbearers to include Silas Hernandez and Clayton Tercero.
