Patsy Charles Chancy, 74, of Big Spring, died Saturday, August 16, 2014 in a local hospital. Vigil services will be 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. She was born January 5, 1940 in San Diego, Texas. She moved to Lamesa in 1959 from Alice and had worked as a bus driver for the Lamesa Independent School District. She moved to Big Spring in 1988. She is survived by two daughters, Silvia Barta and husband, Rick and Nelda Chancy and husband, Brian Peddle all of San Antonio; three sons, Joe Soria, Jr. and wife, Beth of Victoria, Jerry Chancy, Jr. and wife, Shalimar and Benjamin Chancy all of Big Spring; two sisters, Elosia Rodriguez of Victoria and Alicia Charles of Alice; two brothers, Jose Charles of Alice and Domingo Charles of Edinburg; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso and Ynocencia Charles; one sister, Julia Bolton; and two brothers, Gilbert Charles and Ventura Charles. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 2121, Big Spring, Texas 79721-2121.
