Patsy Charlene (Nanny) Thompson
Patsy Charlene Thompson entered into the presence of the Lord on the 30th of June at the age of 87 in Midland, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Charlene was a devoted caring Mother and Nanny. She was a believer in Jesus Christ. Heaven gained a beautiful Angel.
She was born to Lewis and Arlena Claxton in Loraine, Texas on July 18, 1936 . Growing up she had many friends and was very active in her younger years, eventually graduating Loraine High School. As a high school cheerleader, she found a love for football. After high school she moved to Midkiff, Texas where she raised her family. She would eventually make another move to Midland, Texas where she had a long career managing property. She loved her job and was a hard worker.
Family was important to Charlene. She was a loving mother to both of her children and was always there to listen and support them. She was not only the best grandmother but great grandmother too. She loved each of them in a very special way.
As a Mother and a Nanny, she was good with words and guidance. She was a comforter.
She was one of the strongest women you’d ever know, tiny but tough. She never had any complaints about anything. She had a green thumb and was a good cook too. She had a sweet tooth and could never turn down a good cookie or pecan bites. She was known for loving her Dallas Cowboys through good seasons and bad, but she never gave up on them.
She is survived by her son, Rocky Thompson and Delfina Romero of Big Lake, Texas and daughter Pamela Thompson of Midland, Texas. Grandchildren Thomas Brantley and wife Miksy, Alisha Owen and husband Shawn, Wendy Ramirez and husband Jeremy, Kali Ybarra and husband Victor. Great grandchildren, Gavin Owen, Jennylee Galindo, Taylor Ramirez, Talan Ramirez, Keagan Owen, Thomas (TJ) Brantley Jr, Zayden Brantley, Lexi Ybarra, Levi Ybarra, Luxe Ybarra; siblings, including one sister Lavonne Schauwecker and brother Weldon Claxton and wife Barbara and numerous nieces and nephews.
