Pat Wayne Murphy

LCpl Pat Wayne Murphy, USMC, 78, of Big Spring, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025.  Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, June 9, 2025, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park with military honors.

Pat was born on November 13, 1946, in Big Spring, Texas to parents Lloyd B. and Elva Jewel (Westerman) Murphy.  He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War where he was awarded a Purple Heart.

He is survived by children, Shane Murphy (Jimalee), Misti Bray (Clint), and Jill Weeks (Neil); grandchildren, Vance Bray, Brayden Murphy, Dalton Weeks (Liz), Brett Murphy, Harrison Weeks, and Meagan Bray; brother, Charles Alley (Barbara); and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
