Patricia Marie "Pat" Byrom, 78, of Plano, passed away Friday, October 30, 2009 in Midland Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 29, 1931 in Brownwood, Texas to Paul and Mondean Byrom. A graveside service will be held in Santa Anna, Texas on Monday, November 2 at 11:00 am, followed by a memorial service on Monday at 1:30 pm at the First Baptist Church in Brownwood.Pat was a graduate of Howard Payne University where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She worked for banks in Brownwood, Comanche, and was President of Olney Savings and Loan in Brownwood and later President of the bank in Rising Star, Texas. She was currently serving as Senior Collateral Specialist for Legacy Texas Bank in Plano. She cherished the friendships she enjoyed with her co-workers at Legacy Texas Bank. She was respected for a sense of professionalism reflected by her full time employment until her death at age 78. Pat will be remembered as self sufficient and independent.Her love and care of animals was a defining characterisic of her life. She provided a loving home for so many unwanted animals. She also enjoyed her family and the friendship of her co workers at Legacy Bank. In her free time she was a wonderful cook who enjoyed reading cookbooks and preparing family receipes. She was an avid collector of beautiful place settings. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul Frederick (Fred) Byrom. She is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Margaret Byrom of Midland; nephew Paul Byrom and his wife Sheri, of Midland, and their children Megan, Madison and Jonathan; her niece Marietta Metcalfe and her husband Albert, of Midland, and their children Kaki, Blaire, Hillary-Anne and Annie; her cousin LaRita Robinson and her husband Zane, of Dallas, and their children Laura, Lisa, Lana and Anthony.
