Pasco Buddy Enfield, 89, of Big Spring, died Saturday, September 1, 2012, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. John McCollough, pastor of Berea Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at the funeral home.He was born April 10, 1923, in Corning, California and married Marion O'Briant October 23, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan. She preceded him in death September 13, 1994. He then married Verma Lea Decker June 9, 1995 in Big Spring, Texas.Buddy came to Texas as a young boy. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, where he received the bronze star for service as a member of an Armed Guard Crew during the period March 12-18, 1943. He worked for the T & P Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad, retiring as a conductor after 33 years of service.He was a member of Berea Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 506.Survivors include his wife, Verma Lea Enfield of Big Spring; two daughters, Brenda Gay Luke and husband, Tony and Phyllis Louise Carroll and husband, Thomas all of Big Spring; two step-daughters, Cynthia McCullough and husband, John of Big Spring and Tracy Hodges and husband, Jay of Bonham; one step-son, Paul Decker of Big Spring; two sisters, Betty Roffe of Florida and Gloria Fisher of Indiana; five grandchildren, six step grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and eleven step great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by one son, Patrick Enfield; a step-daughter, Carolyn Abel; and one brother, Gail Enfield.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
