Dub: This breaks my heart & I am sorry. The years have really flown since we were on Basin Rig 5 together. But I have thought about you from time to time. I pray the Holy Spirit will come upon all of you w/the comfort & love of the Father. And may your forever family surround you in this most difficult time. Be well, my friend. Kenneth Garrett

This morning I was informed by fellow classmate Steve Williams that Pam had passed away. At that very moment, the world became a bit colder and more foreign to me. I doubt if that feeling will ever go away. At least, in this lifetime. I wished I had known earlier, as most anything would not have kept me from coming to pay my respects. She was an absolutely wonderful human being, showing such traits even when we were in high school. Pam seemed to be involved in everything those days, including being one of our cheerleaders. But most of all, she had a kind heart and a kind word for everyone. Including me, and I was a basic nobody while in high school. Decades later, after my first book was published, Pam was one of the first from our graduating class to contact me. About a year later, she came to Alpine with some of our other classmates and we all had a good visit. Since then, she would make contact on occasion and was always leaving ‘likes’ concerning my essays. I suppose that will not happen anymore, and again the world seems worse off without them. Pam, I am going to miss your presence so much. But one day, God willing and I manage to meet the mark, I shall see you again. My heartfelt condolences and prayers to her family and many, many friends. As I know I am far from being the only one feeling this way. Ben H. English Alpine, Texas

Pam, I will miss you dearly. Had great times with you, Dubby and Del Mack… still remember driving home from Dallas Cowboy game, snowing and Del Mack actually put finger indentions on the steering wheel of your car since we voted him to be the driver. I love you, Cherl

Oh my dear beautiful Pammy. I see your photo and my brain knows that it is your obituary but, my heart can’t accept it. The thought of never hearing your voice again is so painful. We had so many memories that I will hold on to forever. You were smart, loving and full of empathy for others. It didn’t matter who it was. If anyone (I do mean ANYONE) needed anything, you were there no matter what the need was you jumped in with both feet. I will never forget all the times that you called and just listened to me cry when Bryan died. You were such an example of what friendship means. I will forever carry you in my heart and will always wish that I could say “I love you” and hear you say it back just one more time.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
