Pamela Ruth Hedrick, 68 of Stanton, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. A visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Gilbreath Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Stanton. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Pamela was born on November 16, 1953 in Commerce, TX to Lloyd Raymond and Mary Catherine Green. She had three sisters and five brothers. She grew up in Cumby, Tx where she attended Cumby High School. She was married to Jarrell Wayne Hedrick on May 26, 1984 and had two daughters, Mary Alaina and Kelsey Brianna. She loved her family fiercely, as well as the hundreds of students she taught in her 35 years in education. She earned degrees in English, art, history, and held a library certification from East Texas State University. She came to Stanton as an English and art teacher and spent 21 years as the district librarian. She loved to read and was an extremely talented artist. Much of her time was spent leading and teaching students, even outside of school, through 4-H and Girl Scouts, as well as at FBC Stanton as a Sunday school teacher. She truly had a servants’ heart and was loved by many. Her grandkids were the loves of her life and brought her so much joy.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Jarrell Hedrick of Stanton, TX, her daughters, Mary Alaina Cisneros of Big Spring, TX and Kelsey Doshier of Midland, TX. Survivors also include her grandchildren, Autumn Hedrick, Harper Cisneros, Lilly Jo Cisneros, and Dalton Cisneros. Also included are her brothers Michael Green of Greenville, TX, Jerry Green of Cumby, TX, Ronnie Green of Saltillo, TX, and Ricky Green of Paris, TX and one sister, Peggy Freeman of Brashear, TX, along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Raymond Green and Mary Catherine Green, two sisters, Sue St. Clair and Ann Mills and a brother, Jimmy Green.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards the hospital staff at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX and would also like to thank everyone at the First Baptist Church in Stanton, TX. They would also like to thank friends for the outpouring of love and prayers during this difficult time.
