Pam Smith, 55, of Midland, died on Thursday, February 19, 2004, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with Dr. John Gerlach Pastor of Crestview Baptist Church, officiating. She was born on August 10, 1948, in Odessa, Texas and married Charles Smith on September 15, 1967 in Midland. Pam, a longtime resident of Midland, spent several years employed by Gulf Oil and later, with husband Charley, co-founded Midland Bumper and Crash Parts. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. She volunteered as a Midland High School Band Booster and was active in the Girl Scouts.Pam leaves her beloved husband Charley of thirty-six years; two daughters, Christine Cochran and her husband David and grand daughters Kelsey and Courtney of Harker Heights and Shanna Hill and her husband Terry and grand daughter Madison of Midland; one brother, Robert Waller and his wife, Brenda of Pasadena, TX; an uncle, RC White and his wife, Elna of Sulphur Springs; and step son, Darren Smith of Midland and one grand daughter, Megan.The family would like to express thanks to Hospice of Midland for their kindness, caring and support during this difficult time.
