Pam and Chris were my first employers upon moving to Midland from Colorado. Pam taught me so much. It was an honor and blessing to know and work for her. She is a beautiful God centered soul. She will be missed. Prayers for comfort for the family she so loved.
Pam Hobbs left a message on August 6, 2026:
I was so lucky to have met Pam in 1980. She and Chris had just graduated from Texas Tech, gotten married, bought a house, and moved to Midland with their two Pomeranians to begin their successful careers. Fortunately, they moved right across the street from us! We had recently moved to Midland also, and Pam and Chris became our first and best friends. Pam was so smart, yet very humble. She loved animals, crossword puzzles, chocolate covered almonds, and was the partner everyone wanted to have when playing any games. She was confident, had the best dry sense of humor, and was a great sport in going along with all the crazy ideas that Chris and I would come up with. Pam was the best kind of friend to have. She listened patiently, never judged, and gave the most thoughtful, practical, and logical advice whenever I needed. I could always trust her. Pam successfully balanced having an awesome family as well as a successful career. I was there, as soon as they would let me in her room, when she had her first child, Blake. She was a natural at being a great Mom to all of her children. Pam was also the best wife to Chris. We were best friends for 14 years in Midland. I moved away and unfortunately we had trouble keeping that close bond due to time and distance, and life. I was so thankful to finally find out, in time, about all the health issues that Pam had to endure. She was one of the strongest people I ever knew. Several months ago, I was so happy and fortunate, to have a reunion with both Chris and Pam. It was as if no time had passed and we fell instantly into being best friends again. Pam and I had so much fun remembering all the fun times we had, and catching up while eating chocolate covered almonds, with her crossword puzzles on the table beside her. I will always be so thankful for that time I got to spend with her. I will always remember Pam’s beautiful eyes, her smile, and her beautiful red hair. I loved her and will always miss her.

I met Pam many decades ago, while visiting my sister and family in Midland. I remember Pam as a sweet, kind, gentle soul, and a true friend to my sister. I once flew out to participate in a high school themed party—and by chance, you were my “date” Chris! — classic cars and all, it is a fun memory. I am sending hugs and love to you all as we go through this difficult time.

I will remember my cousin Pam as an intelligent, "straight shooter" who was a delight to talk to. No matter the topic, she always had a great comeback or observation...usually to be followed by a laugh. We laughed a lot thanks to her. Her wit and laugh will be missed. ++cj
