Pamela Carter, 62, of Midland, passes away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in Midland. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11:00 am at Bellview Baptist Church in Midland. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Pamela was born on November 3, 1952 to Billy and Margaret “Beth” Sams in Odessa, TX. She married the love of her life, Dale Carter, to the fullest and made the best out of every situation. She loved being outside gardening and watching the hummingbirds, and their favorite time of the year was Christmas. She was a member of Bellview Baptist Church and was on staff for the last five years. Pamela was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Her pride and joy were her children and being a Nana to everyone. Pam was a dedicated church secretary that loved everyone in her church family.She is survived by her husband, Dale Carter; mother, Margaret “Beth” Sams; children, Carise Brown, Ashley Driver (Thomas), Billy Brown, Kevin Carter (Wendy), Angela Vantine (Ronnie) and Kristen Griffin (Brad); two sisters, Janette Carman (Jimmy) and Patricia Dukes; 15 grandchildren, Christopher Kirkpatrick, Kasey Kirkpatrick, Kaylie Kirkpatrick, Tori Brown, Tiffany Carter, Scott Driver, Chelsea Driver, Cloe Driver, Christopher Carter, Jonathan Carter, Elizabeth Carter, Danielle Carter, Nathan Vantine, Madison Griffin, and Zachary Griffin; great grandchildren, Alexis and Jase Kirkpatrick; and numerous nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Sams and sister, Jeanne Lizenby.Pallbearers will be Jack Hallums, Claude Jewett, Pat McDaniel, Steve Rogers, Guinn Ferguson, Bob Meritt, James Cooper and Jim Limbacher.The family suggests memorials be donated to Bellview Baptist Church, 1710 N Big Spring St, Midland, TX 79701.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home of Midland.
