Ozelle "Bobbie" McClain, 95, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2007, in Midland. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 28, 2007 at Westside Church of Christ with Don Mitchell, officiating. Private interment will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory.Bobbie was born on September 4, 1912 in Red Rock, Texas to Minnie and Thomas Copeland. She grew up and attended school in Red Rock, also graduating from high school there. She then moved with her parents to Dublin. She began working as a nurse at Dublin Nursing Home and the Dublin Hospital in 1946, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Church of Christ.Bobbie was a very patriotic person, who loved to read, write and help others. She was published many times in several newspapers.Survivors include five granddaughters, Susan Denise Jenkins of Round Rock, Robin McCormack of Midland, Debbie Fisher of Midland, Sherri Kizziar of Canyon, Texas and Sharon Lyons of Aurora, Colorado; two grandsons, Kevin McClain and Brad McClain, both of Aurora, Colorado; daughter-in-law, Donna McClain of Aurora, Colorado; nephew, Curtis McClain of Midland; son-in-law, Darrell Byrd of Midland; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Minnie Mae Byrd and a son, Thomas Luther McClain.
