Earl King, 78, of Coahoma, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was born November 17, 1942 in Big Spring to W. C. and Helen King and married Dee Dee White June 9, 1975 in Big Spring.
Earl was a lifelong resident of Howard County. He worked as a carpenter for over 50 years and also owned Earl King Dump Truck Service, until retiring. He enjoyed birding, the outdoors, all types of sports and history.
Survivors include his wife, Dee Dee; his children, Tracy Sosa of Florida, Robby Brewer and wife, Kim of Hastings, Nebraska, Rocky King and wife, Jennifer of Seguin, and Luke King and wife, Sandy of Kilgore; one brother, Gerald King of Snyder; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Denise Creekmore; and three brothers, Edward King, Bill King and Donnie King.
