Oscar Tercero, 62, of Midland passed away July 3, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel and at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church, with interment following at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
He was married 44 years to his wife Maria Natividad Tercero. Oscar began his career in the oilfield in 1979. Oscar’s work ethic, dedication, and commitment lead him to grow in his career. He began as a floor hand, then rose to derrick man, operator, supervisor and entrepreneur over his 42 years in the oil business; 30 of which he spent at Endeavor Energy Resources. His love, passion and most prized possession was his family.
He treasured his four daughters, 11 grandchildren, his two great grandchildren, as well as the third on the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Manuela Tercero.
Oscar is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Tercero; his sisters, Zulema Leyva and Abilia Lujan and their spouses; his daughters, Lizette Armendariz and husband Rene, Maribel McLelland and husband Keith, Ivette Lujan and husband Servando and Annette Garcia and husband Manuel, his grandchildren, Anaiz Grantham, Lynette Tercero, Samuel Lujan, Rene Amendariz Jr., Adrian Garcia, Isaac Lujan, Oscar Armendariz, Arlette Garcia, Bridgette Lujan, Joaquin Armendariz, and Iliana Armendariz, as well as his great grandchildren Lukas and Olivia Grantham.
Oscar’s greatest pleasure in life was his ranch and all the activities he did there. He loved farming, taking care of cattle, horses, and nature, and he spent much of his time there. Through his dedication, sacrifice, and love, Oscar made each day a special one for all those he loved. Tata Oscar loved the Lord.
