Oscar \Big O\ Cervantes, Jr., 42 of Big Spring, started his eternal journey Friday, July 28, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 7, 2017 at Spring Creek Fellowship.He was born May 13, 1975 in Big Spring. Oscar met the love of his life, Erica Lanspery 25 years ago and they where married on July 30, 2005.Oscar graduated from Big Spring High School in 1993 where he played football and baseball for the Steers. He worked for his father, Oscar Cervantes Paint and Body Shop until his father’s death. He then worked for Solitaire Homes, Innotek Powder Coating and Cain Electric Supply until becoming ill.Oscar loved playing disc golf, softball and attending his children sporting events. He loved watching Red Sox's baseball and Cowboy's football. Oscar was the life of the party, he had a laugh that was contagious, a smile that could light up any room and loved giving big bear hugs.Survivors include his wife, Erica Cervantes; two sons, Jesse Cervantes and Ozzie Cervantes; one daughter, Aissa Cervantes; his mother and step-father, Maria and Larry Jojola; two sisters, Alma Guzman and Nicole Cervantes; a sister-in-law, Kevy O'Brien; a brother-in-law Blake Lanspery; three nephews; a niece; several aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Cervantes, Sr.; and his grandparents.Honorary Pallbearers' include, Lucas Lopez, Andy Lopez, Raymond Cruz, Jason Key, Ausden Medrano, Tommy Chavarria, Derek Guzman, Manny Reyes, Artie Valdez, and Ruben Holguin.The family suggests memorials to the Howard County Scholarship Bowl, 1113 S.
