Orval was my 'guiding light' when I promoted to Region II Adjutant with the DPS. He taught me so much about our job, and at the same time we became good friends. His positive and light hearted attitude made him a joy to work with. Orval was a rare gift, and I treasure the time I was able to be with him. The world has truly lost a kind and gentle person.
