Oliver Mack Worcester, 66, of Midland, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2015. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Mack was born on August 6, 1948 to Charles and Maedell Worcester in Eunice, NM. He graduated from Farmington High School in 1966. Mack married his high school sweetheart Becky Hayes on November 9, 1966. They lived in various other states for short periods of time before making Midland home in 1974. He worked in the Petroleum Industry for the majority of his life and was most recently a Chief Inspector for MBF Inspection Services. What made him the happiest was seeing his family and friends having a good time. He was known as Papa to his grandson Chase, and his niece, Amy. He loved seeing Chase's excitement out on the lake riding in Papa's boat. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and sight-seeing when he had free time.Survivors include wife, Becky Worcester; son, Mike Worcester; daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Lance Cross; grandson, Chase Hyer, step grandchildren Chance and Chelsea Cross; sisters, Joyce McCormick, Janette Worcester and Juanita Allcorn; brother, Ricky Jackson; sister-in-law, Terry Worcester; numerous nieces , nephews, and a large extended family.He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Worcester; mother, Maedell Welch; step-father, Irl Welch; sister, Sharlene Forsythe; brother, Clayton Worcester and brother-in-law, Bobby Allcorn.Donations in Mack's memory may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
